Paper Craft

We all have paper lying around the house and if you have young children, chances are you may have all different types of colours. Sometimes though, paper can get in our way and to get rid of it, we simply wrap it up and throw it in the bin. Here you can find fantastic ideas for your unwanted paper, a sure easy way to put it to good use, like decorating or sharing something from your heart.

Cute kitten card.

Fold a piece of paper in half.

Draw the outline of a cat on the folded paper. Make sure that the tail and both ears extend to the fold and go along it for at least a quarter of an inch (this is where the front and back will be attached to each other).

Cut out the cat - make sure that there are areas of the fold that you do not cut, so that the front and back of the card are attached to each other.

Put a face on your cat. Gluing on googly eyes gives the cat a cute look.

Write a message on the inside of your new card.

ORIGAMI DOLL

A piece of paper
Scissors
Markers or crayons

Start by making a square piece of paper. To start making the square, fold one corner of a piece of paper over to the adjacent side.

To finish making the square, cut off the small rectangle, forming a square (which is already folded into a triangle).

Open up the triangle into a square. Fold each of the two top edges to the center line. You'll now have a diamond shape.

Fold the triangle at the bottom upwards

Fold near the center of the triangle, bringing the bottom part up over the top part.

Flip the entire origami piece over.

Fold each of the two triangular flaps towards the center.

You can fold over the top of the head to make a flat head if you like. Draw a face, hair, clothes, hands, and other features. You can model the doll after yourself, your family, your friends, or other people.
An entire family full of these dolls is simple to make and fun to play with.
